Cookies

A cookie is a small note a site stores in your browser. This page explains which cookies are used here and how to switch them off.

Cookies we set: one

The site itself sets exactly one cookie — the one that remembers your chosen language (named NEXT_LOCALE). Thanks to it, the site opens in your language next time.

This cookie does not know who you are, does not record which pages you visit, and is not passed to anyone.

No tracking cookies

We use no Google Analytics, no advertising pixel and no behavioural tracker. That is also why you see no “do you accept cookies?” banner here — there is nothing to accept.

Social media windows

Articles may show a video from YouTube, Instagram, X, Facebook, TikTok or Telegram. When such a window loads, that platform may set cookies of its own — that is their rule and outside our control.

For this reason we show videos in “nocookie” mode wherever possible: a YouTube video sets no tracking cookie until you press play.

How to switch cookies off

Every browser has a section for restricting or deleting cookies:

• Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Third-party cookies

• Safari: Settings → Privacy → Block all cookies

• Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Enhanced Tracking Protection

If you block cookies entirely the site still works — your language choice simply will not be remembered, and some video windows may not load.
